Important Safety Notice Belts and Cables
The Swingbuilder Inc. has an ongoing philosophy and commitment to provide the highest quality exercise equipment in the fitness and rehabilitative industries. Our product has been carefully designed and critically analyzed from a biochemical engineering perspective to insure safe, efficient, long term operation.
However it must be realized that safe use of this equipment requires that owners carefully read and follow The Swingbuilder Inc’s Use Recommendations, Warnings, Maintenance Guidelines, and Warranty Schedule. Failure to comply will not only reduce the life of the product but could also result in product failure and serious injury to the user!
Although The Swingbuilder Inc. provides the highest quality of material and workmanship in its products, the fact remains that component parts eventually wear out over time and use. This is particularly true with reference to pliable moving parts such as cables, as well as linear bearings and rod-end spherical bearings. Check cable for each day and each hitter. Make sure bat handle is screwed all the way into the rod-end spherical bearing before each day’s use and hitter. In spite of any expressed and/or implied warranties, intervening factors such as improper use, unusually heavy use, improper installation, improper alignment, and poor maintenance serve to drastically reduce the usable life and safety of these components.
Be advised that dangerous conditions can arise even during warranty periods and that any expressed and/or implied warranties DO NOT NEGATE the owner’s responsibility to insure that:
All cables on all machines be carefully inspected on a daily basis for any signs of wear, fraying, de-lamination, and/or stretching.
Any machine whose cables are “questionable” in terms of condition be immediately removed from service; and
Only genuine The Swingbuilder Inc. replacement parts are used.
Serious injury or death could result from failure to follow the given rules!
Rules for Use With Proper Mechanics
General Rules for the Swingbuilder Machine Use with Proper Mechanics:
Keep the weight on the balls of your feet.
Do not fall back and dig your heels in. Do not drag the weight. Swing it.
Do not pull the bat handle to your body when you begin to swing. Use your rear leg hip and back to pull it: right-handers, right hip and back; left-handers, left hip and back.
Keep the attachment between the bat head and the universal ball-and-socket joint directly under the central linear bar so that the ball bearing block slides along without tilting or twisting. This will assure you that you are hitting through the ball on the hitting plane on the balls of your feet, instead of pulling off of it.
Keep the universal joint directly under the bar by not pulling the bat handle to your body or pulling the mechanism to you. Pulling with the arms is going to transfer the emphasis from the right hip on right-handers, and the left hip on left-handers, to the lead hip and frontside lower back area, which is incorrect. Thrusting with an external press of the rear foot against the floor causes the rear knee, thigh to move the rear hip along with the msucle in the back. This would be the correct way.
The amount of weight you can swing is not nearly as important as working with perfect mechanics.
Perfect mechanics is the key: weight on the balls of your feet, rear foot, rear leg, rear hip and back driven, u-joint under the main rod for the entire swing. Finish the swing. Hit through the first spring and do not pull out from the central rod but follow straight to the ball.
