Before Beginning Your Workout:
View the video of an initial workout session, the diagram with the yardstick positions, and read the handout on the Multiple Functions of the Yardstick.

Align the beginning of the yardstick with the front of the linear bearing so that the yardstick extends 36 inches forward from the start of the swing.

Make a mental picture of your right hand and right hip (left hand and left hip for left-handed hitters) with the rear hip coming forward before the hands and delivering the bat head. Hold slight tension upon return.
